The Växtkraft programme
Receive an intensive two-week introductory course during which you are given the opportunity to test a real design case and the chance to ask all the “stupid” questions and not “just” be thrown into an assignment with expectations from the customer to immediately perform at a level equivalent to an experienced engineer.
Start your career as an important part of a larger team of recent graduates with a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering, all of whom start at the same time and thus form a good sense of fellowship and community, which is a big plus and a great source of security.
Växtkraft – the ideal start to your career
Since 2014, Sigma Industry South has been running and developing the Växtkraft programme for newly graduated engineers. We have employed and developed more than 200 young engineers with a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering directly after graduation, thus providing them with a head start in the labour market. All programme participants are employed with a collective agreement and fair working conditions, which is a given for us here at Sigma.
The following is a quote from one of our employees, who joined our Växtkraft programme immediately after graduating from university and is now reflecting on the first five years of their career with Sigma:

Sigma Industry South’s Växtkraft programme has been a recurring initiative once or twice a year since 2014. The application period is open all year round.
During the year, we visit most of the higher education institutions in southern Sweden and their career fairs.
