Senior mechanical engineer, external analysis - Robust Design

Description

For a customer in the furniture industry in Älmhult, we are looking for a senior consultant for external verification of a new solution. It is a box solution that must be verified by an external party. It is a complex new solution containing a two-part drawer rail, an activator and an interlock system. A form of stability solution to ensure that only one drawer in a closet/chest of drawers can be open at a time.

They need help immediately and the assignment is estimated to be about a month. They want an external party that goes in and only focuses on this, remote work is definitely possible to be able to stay focused while you will need to be on site in Älmhult to get access to the prototype. Focus on robust design, tolerance analyses and also analysis of the consequences of being outside tolerance (acceptable/catastrophic). The materials in question are chipboard, metals and some plastic components.
